Emerald Viewer is now insignificant! The Phoenix Viewer is there!
As I already said in this Post: “Malicious Joy, Jealousy and so much more. Kid.. Choke on it!“…
And its right.. Every “End” is a “Beginning”. Someday there will be another complex Viewer like Emerald. Indeed maybe this Codebase will be used to produce a new similar Viewer.
And there we go…
Jessica Lyon announced the Phoenix Viewer on her Blog.
I’m am very proud to announce the launch of the Phoenix Viewer. This project, has started off simple, with it’s initial release of a safe clone of the Emerald viewer. Users want Emerald features, you shall have them. We have big plans to expand to the Snowstorm project as well. We have already applied for the TPVD, to which we have no doubt we will be accepted in a timely fashion. We have already started making in world groups for support, (Phoenix Viewer Support), beta testing etc. There is much more to do… however…
Jessica lyon assembled a team of developers to work on a new viewer called “Phoenix Viewer“. She said the new Viewer is developed and will be updated by Peoples who were originally Emerald developers, some who were not. She said they all are respected reputable residents in the SecondLife Community. She also said everyone on this team insists on 100% public transparency in EVERYTHING they do. Btw. LordGregGreg Back is in the Phoenix Team too, which means that the Emergence Viewer probably will not be updated anymore.

So I am happy that the whole Story and Drama has an Happy End. Peoples who did like the Emerald Viewer because of the Style and Features now know where to go. There is no End.. there is a beginning.

I guess if this Viewer really comes on the TPV List.. then a lot of Emerald Fans will use this one. I think lots of them do so already. I use now Phnoenix.
Because LordGregGreg is now in the Phoenix Dev Team, this should mean Emergence is dead. Im not sure but I guess its logical that he dont work on two Projects.
So im pretty sure lot of Emerald Fans now know where to go in the Future.

many of us are experience loss of inventory now with phoneix and phoneix, seems to make it harder than it should be to report bugs. we cleard ever chache there is and are still having major losses in our inventory

Until now I didnt experience inventory loss. Do you have any sources where they talk about it? Forums?
Just so that I can be up to date about that.
